Sunday Club

 Come and join us at Sunday Club!

We welcome children aged 3 – 11 to join us on Sunday mornings for singing, Bible stories, activities and fun.

We meet in the Church Rooms on Back Lane at 10.45 am on Sundays during term time, except Family services which are usually the first Sunday of each month.  Our calendar in the church porch will give the dates for each term. 

The sessions include a snack and drink as everyone gathers, games, and singing with instruments.  We look at a Bible story or theme with stories, drama, craft, colouring and other activities.  We close by praying together and walk down to St Mary’s so the children can join their parents before the end of the service.

Sunday Club uses the Scripture Union “Light” material which follows different themes or books of the Bible for each month.  We are organised into two groups, one for 3 – 6 year olds (Nursery to Year 1) and one for 7 – 11 year olds (Year 2 – 6).  There are two leaders for each session and we operate a rota from a team of leaders. 

The children also participate in our monthly Family services, and present the Christmas story at our Nativity service.

Family services are for all ages with coffee, drinks and biscuits afterwards.  It doesn’t matter if the children can’t sit still or quietly for too long, come and join us at 10.45 am for about 45 minutes.  Please check on the church calendar or Parish magazine for details as sometimes the service is held at Christ Church, Kilndown.

St Mary’s PCC operate a child protection policy which is on display in the church porch, all the Sunday Club team have been CRB checked, and there are diocesan guidelines which we operate to.
