Welcome to the website of the Parish of St. Mary the Virgin, Goudhurst. Through browsing the website, you will be able to discover how we worship, the various services and events that are held in the parish and beyond, and the links we have to charities and other organisations. During the summer and autumn of 2011,building work took place at the church. Thanks to the contractors the church was able to remain open and available to visitors during most of the day. We now have a new Children's Chapel/ Community Meeting Room, kitchen, storeroom and toilets (available during Church events). Special events are being planned to take advantage of the facilities. |

St Mary the Virgin, Organist and Director of Music Following the departure of our current Director of Music after six successful years, we are seeking to appoint a successor, or successors, to play for our services and lead our musical worship, including developing our Choir. St Mary’s is a thriving village church which offers a broad range of opportunities for worship. We are looking for a musician, or musicians, who would foster that breadth of expression. There is a well-maintained two manual pipe organ. An excellent instrument is currently in store for future installation.
